Comments on the Not-for Profit policy

“There is a burning need to support the community as their cost-of-living rises, and this policy does exactly that.

We are calling on the Government invest $150 million in both the 2023-24 and 2024-25 financial years to support those parts of the community that cannot adjust to higher costs.

Mark McGowan has banked over $20 billion in surpluses in five years, so he can easily afford to share some of his wealth and do this.

Under our policy the money is highly targeted to those who need it most.

The Government’s strategy to address cost-of-living impacts has seen the Premier hand out two electricity credits, which went to all households whether they needed it or not, at a cost of over a billion dollars.

Our plan will see money appropriately targeted at those who need it most; especially those who are seeking help just to eat or to have a place to stay tonight.”
